Bewitching Burlesque is having auditions again for their 70’s show.

Auditions will be held at The Plaza Arts Center between 7pm-10pm.
(1115 Fourth Avenue, Carrollton, TX)

March 15th is the day (April 10th is the show) message them on facebook or email bewitchingburlesque at gmail dot com to reserve your time slot! They are open to all routines- and all performers- no matter your sex,size or skill level! (And your routine doesn’t have to be 70’s themed)

This Sunday Nov 8th I’m going to make the trek up to Denton for Denton Dr. Sketchy’s
and draw the fabu Glam Amour.
It’s being held at Banter Cafe from 6-9pm with special burlesque performances from
Zamra, Scarlet Rose Royale and more. Just bring yourself, $10 and art supplies.

The Wake is a night of infinite fun, fright, mayhem and adventure, put on by the art collective, Dallas Nomads. It’s being held at a massive 15,000 sq.ft. 3 story event complex. Including lounge areas and rooftop patio facing downtown. Make sure you to buy your tickets before hand, which you can do here.

A night of infinite fun, fright, mayhem and adventure! Live music from 6 of Dallas’ hottest bands with 7 drop dead gorgeous burlesque performers! DJs and video projections on 3 separate floors. Mark Kaplan from Naked Lens has always been there for the burlesque performers and club go-ers in Dallas taking wonderful photos.
Mark has always offered ALL of his photos, FOR FREE! For anyone to use. Because of him, I have photos of my performances, really great photos I can use for promotional things. Now he needs a little bit of help. I’ve donated and if you have been shot by him, it would be a nice “thank you” if you did too.

Okay, then, here’s the deal: Back in September while shooting the Dallas Pride Parade, I dropped and broke my telephoto lens, leaving me in a bit of a bind. I’m fine for shooting things up close, as in six feet away or less, but beyond that, I’m screwed.

So yeah, basically I’m asking for a few dollars to help buy a replacement.

But I don’t want to ask for something without giving anything in return, so for every $10, I’m offering a 5×7 print of your choice. Granted this only applies to photos that I’ve taken, so there is that limitation, no grabbing someone else’s awesome stuff and asking me to print it for you, that’s what Kinko’s is for.

Dallas’ First Naked Girls Reading

Yes you read this correctly, it is what is says. Naked Girls will be reading!
I’m super sad I’m missing this event, but that doesn’t mean you have to!

Naked Girls Reading is a smash hit out of Chicago brought to Dallas by La Divina Productions, the same company that brought you Atomic Frolic and Spring Swing Burlesque Revue. Created by Michelle L’Amour, burlesque superstar and Miss Exotic World 2005, Naked Girls Reading is part literary gathering and one part pin up event.

Tickets on sale now! Call 214-871-7469 to make your reservation. Only 80 spots available. Also GET THERE EARLY! There is a strict curtain time. Once it starts, no one else can come in. All cell phones must be turned off, no pictures may be taken. This is a BYOB event but there will be some limited complimentary beer and wine. Soft drinks and water for sale.

But before I get too ahead of myself, there are some other things coming up.
Another first, Denton’s Dr. Sketchy’s is having their first event August 15th. Bring $10 to get in and your drawing supplies. Miss Vivienne Vermuth has worked very hard putting this together.
