I’m back for the next Ruby Revue HOB show : Dallas’ Most Wanted.
Ruby Revue presents Dallas’ Most Wanted : featuring Cabaret Singer, Mandy Lauderdale, Ginger Valentine, Angi B. Lovely, Elisa, Honey Cocoa, Melissa Meaow, Lily Wilde and ME! Live music by Chic Ramirez (who use to play at Jack Ruby’s club) and the Double Exposure. Hosted by Galaxy Dares.

Show starts at 9:30pm, doors open at 8:00pm. I would get there early if you want a seat!! You can buy you tickets online or get them at willcall (to avoid paying ticketmaster fees).

For those who are curious, I’ve been taking a hiatus from burlesque for a mix of reasons.
My dad got in a really bad car accident and I wanted to free my time up so I could be able to go visit him whenever I wanted. Also, I’ve been planning a 2 monthish trip to Europe and needed to save all the money I could. This will be my last burlesque show before I leave for Europe, so come see me off!

Dallas’ First Naked Girls Reading

Yes you read this correctly, it is what is says. Naked Girls will be reading!
I’m super sad I’m missing this event, but that doesn’t mean you have to!

Naked Girls Reading is a smash hit out of Chicago brought to Dallas by La Divina Productions, the same company that brought you Atomic Frolic and Spring Swing Burlesque Revue. Created by Michelle L’Amour, burlesque superstar and Miss Exotic World 2005, Naked Girls Reading is part literary gathering and one part pin up event.

Tickets on sale now! Call 214-871-7469 to make your reservation. Only 80 spots available. Also GET THERE EARLY! There is a strict curtain time. Once it starts, no one else can come in. All cell phones must be turned off, no pictures may be taken. This is a BYOB event but there will be some limited complimentary beer and wine. Soft drinks and water for sale.

But before I get too ahead of myself, there are some other things coming up.
Another first, Denton’s Dr. Sketchy’s is having their first event August 15th. Bring $10 to get in and your drawing supplies. Miss Vivienne Vermuth has worked very hard putting this together.

The Lollie Bomb’s shows, August 21st & 22nd supporting Susan G. Koman’s Race for the Cure.

“Return of the Bombshell” A Tribute to pin-up and the Burlesque Revival
I will be attending the opening reception is this Thursday evening, 7-9pm at The Soda Gallery , 408 N Bishop, Dallas. It is put on by Shoshana Portnoy of Through the Looking Glass. There will be free wine & cheese, good art & great company.

The show will be featuring 3 of the local pin-up photographers who love what they do. The Soda Gallery a pretty fun place, if you have never been there before. There are comics, soda of every flavor and yummy candy.

And don’t forget this Saturday, Black Mariah at Dr. Sketchy’s!
